Money Cards
I bought a Walmart Money Card late last night, putting a specific amount of money on the card to pay my cell phone bill which was due before midnight and my cell service would be shut off if not paid before midnight. The Walmart representative who sold me the card said the activation line may be closed but not to worry because I could activate my card online. Well, I certainly tried to activate this phony card! I had everything required...receipt, activation code, number for temp card, everything...and all I got after entering all of that information was to tell me to call the line activation to finish the activation GREAT! Now my cell service will be shut off and I wont be able to call the activation line, plus, I will have to pay additional fees to restore my cell service! There are all sorts of hidden fees in these cards and they DO make it almost impossible, if not TRULY impossible to speak to a live person, and after hours, you may as well forget it. I think its time that Walmart get a good old fashioned lawsuit to make them CLEAN UP this Money Card business and I may be the first to do it if my cell service is shut off before I can get this mess straightened out and if I do incur any fees to restore my cell service! I have only used Walmarts Money Card once or twice before and only to pay an emergency type bill, I then canceled the card to avoid all of those hidden fees. People beware, there are far too many fees attached to continued use of this card and all you are doing is using your OWN MONEY! GET IT?
